The Challenges of Studying Ultrasound during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Meet Nicole Ward

Nicole is a senior Diagnostic and Medical Sonography student at Quinnipiac University, who graduated in May of 2022. During her sophomore year of college, the COVID-19 pandemic began, creating a massive shift in her life, as well as her degree. For Nicole, completing her 1400 hours of required clinical was put off until Summer of 2021, putting her a semester behind on her hours. In this short new story, you’ll hear about Nicole’s challenges and triumphs throughout her time at Quinnipiac and working in health care throughout the pandemic.
